The 20 selected participants come from China (6), South Korea (4), Taiwan (2), Poland (2) and one each from Japan, Russia, Ukraine, Israel/USA, Hungary and Italy.
The top prize is USD 30,000 and includes a concert tour in Asia.
The Preliminary and Semi-Final rounds take place at the School of the Arts (SOTA) Concert Hall from 14 to 17 January while the Grand Final on Sunday at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory on Sunday 19 January.
