Open to instrumentalists (including vocals) of all nationalities

Pre-selection

Applicants must submit video for pre-selection. Candidates accepted to perform at the Gala Concert will be notified by March 21st, 2025

The items in the list below must accompany every festival application, failing which the application would not be considered complete.

 

1. Fill in Registration Form:

   • Completed online registration Form

2. Photograph

   • Photography of personal portrait in high resolution for the concert poster (minimum file size of 1MB)

3. Registration Fee

   • Registration fee of $127 and screenshot of payment must be submitted together with the registration form. Registration fee will be offset upon selection to perform at the gala concert.

Video Requirements
All pieces must be played from memory (except for chamber music works). The video must be recorded with one single camera, and the camera must be placed at a distance and at an angle which clearly shows the entire profile of the instrumentalist. The camera must be completely static at all times. The entire pre-selection round must be recorded in one continuous take. No cut or editing will be accepted. Upload the video on Youtube.

Application Fee
A non refundable application fee of SGD127. Registration fee will be offset upon selection.
Please present wire transfer or deposit receipt together with all other application materials. 

 

Repertoire Requirements

Chamber Category

1. Open to all instrumentalists and vocalists

2. Candidates may choose to register by playing one solo work. If selected, the organizer will provide chamber accompaniment for an additional fee of $400.

3. Candidates may also choose to perform a chamber work, in which case they must submit the full score at the time of registration. All music scores must be submitted electronically in a clear, unmarked, and original PDF

4. Repertoire must be submitted at the time of registration and cannot be changed after the submission deadline.

5. The total performance duration must be within 3-8 minutes. Repeats are at the discretion of the competitor to ensure compliance with the time limit. 

 

Solo Category

1. Participants may perform a solo piece of their choice.

2. The total performance duration must be within 3-8 minutes. Repeats are at the discretion of the competitor to ensure compliance with the time limit. 

3. Candidates are required to promptly notify the Organizing Committee of any change in repertoire after the submission of their application.

Fee structure

Registration fee SGD127 (to be offset upon qualification)

Solo performance SGD494 (payable upon qualification. Includes 4 complimentary concert tickets, 15 min rehearsal, persona poster, personal poster, gala concert performance)

Chamber performance SGD1272 (payable upon qualification. Includes 4 complimentary concert tickets, 15 min rehearsal, persona poster, personal poster, gala concert performance)

Additional SGD400 for score arrangement if required by chamber performance candidates.

Rehearsal

Each candidate is given a 15 min rehearsal on May 2nd, 2025. Time and schedule will be provided by the organizing committee closer to concert date. For additional rehearsal time, please see *fee structure.

Video Publication Policy
The GAA Organizing Committee reserves the right to publish all performance videos on its website and social media platforms.
